Our client specialises in the design, production, and supply of high-quality garments for leading retail stores. They are looking for a hardworking, reliable, well-presented, and energetic Buyer / Admin Assistant to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting the Senior Buyer with daily administrative and operational tasks.
  • Measuring and checking garment samples.
  • Preparing and maintaining sample documentation and paperwork.
  • Processing, packing, and dispatching parcels.
  • Collecting and delivering parcels to customers and suppliers.
  • Tracking samples and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and courier companies.
  • Capturing and maintaining accurate records and spreadsheets.
  • Assisting with quality checks on garments and samples.
  • Following up on outstanding samples, approvals, and deliveries.
  • General office administration and support.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • Related tertiary qualification will be beneficial, but not a requirement

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Some administrative or buying background will be highly advantageous.
  • No previous experience in the fashion or clothing industry is required, although it would be advantageous.
  • Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Own reliable transport and a valid driver's license (non-negotiable).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Well-presented with a professional appearance and manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
