Our client is a leader within the Generator and Alternative Energy Industries and they are looking for a passionate and hardworking Technical / Support Sales Rep to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

Responsible for attending customers who visit our store and provide them with the best solution possible. Also responsible for answering all the queries of the customers related to the products.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as technical first line customer telephonic generator support
  • Create schedule and plan optimal route for technicians
  • De brief technicians on work performed and process invoices
  • Keep customers informed on the status of work
  • Process warranty claims or work orders
  • Schedule sub-contractor work and maintain sub-contractor relationships
  • Prepare quotations for services and spare parts
  • Greeting customers as and when they enter the store.
  • Understanding the customers' requirements and specifications.
  • Providing the customers with solutions instantly.
  • Solving all the customers' complaints and issues about the product.
  • Checking the store inventory and reporting.
  • Processing customer payments
  • Updating customer's information in the computer system for future reference
  • Liaising with prospective clients
  • Sale of product and services.
  • Customer Relations management
  • Sales order execution

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Telesales experience beneficial
  • Technical Engine or Electrical interest beneficial
  • Drivers' license and own reliable transport are essential
  • Computer Literate (Excel essential)
  • Must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Always be presentable to customers and have strong work ethics
  • Motivated, determined, target driven, team player, confident, ability to work under pressure and independent
  • High EQ and Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Good time management and organizing skills
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools and other retail software
  • Very good common sense
